Two brothers started out building furniture pieces for various friends and family back in 1998. We continued building pieces over the next several years whenever we had free time and selling them usually privately to people we knew or referrals. In 2006 we decided to start really focusing our time and efforts on the craft that we both know and love, woodworking.

Wood Selection
We acquire most of our wood from a private lumber yard in central Pennsylvania which includes species commonly found in that area, Walnut, Beech, Maple, Pine, Birch, Cedar, Poplar, Cherry, and various others.




Finishing
We typically uses hand rubbed finishes and polyurethanes. All pieces get a minimum of 4 coats and are finished off with a hand rubbed wax to add additional protection and luster. One of the big differences between a good piece and a great piece is the finish applied to it. We take great care when finishing to assure great pieces.




Care Instructions
When you buy quality you shouldn't have to maintain that quality with additional expensive cleaning supplies. To preserve the quality of the finish you can use a standard furniture polish for most all of our pieces. If there are additional care instructions, we will include them with the product when we ship it.




100% Hardwood Construction
We build every one of our products from only the highest grade hardwoods. Much of our primary stock is from Pennsylvania forests and is cut just for us. We never use laminated particle board or wood look-alikes so you can be assured that you are getting a quality piece.




Precision Handcrafting
We take great pride in creating pieces that are not only unique but precise in every way. Whether it involves joinery, finishing, or general building practices it is done by hand with utmost precision.




Limited Edition Pieces
We build a limited number of virtually all of our products and as a result our customers get more unique pieces.




Numbered Pieces
Every HolzCraft piece is individually numbered with a number unique to that piece to verify authenticity.




Lifetime Family Matching
If you like a particular piece, we generally offer the other pieces in that family. For example if you purchased a specific accent table, we would build the corresponding end tables, coffee table, etc... that match exactly. This is a lifetime offering on any of our applicable pieces, so you don't have to worry about later availability. You won't find this standard practice anywhere else!
